To enter a contest: Pay the entry fee at the registration table and affix the appropriate contest sticker(s) to the flight card. The flight card must have a sticker to be entered into a contest. A flight may be entered into the contest anytime before the LCO "pushes the button".

After your flight, return to the contest Judge's table with your entire rocket for audible flight data verification (altimeter must still be powered on). You may then disassemble the rocket for data download (if required for Mach Madness)

Air-starts and Staging are permitted, however, altitude and velocity data will be accepted from the final, sustainer stage only. Unusual profile or "Odd Rocs" may be entered at the Judges discretion.

You must use a recording altimeter that can download maximum flight velocity data to the contest Judge(s) laptop computer. Judges currently have "ARTS Data Analyzer V1.5", "BlackSky Flight Analyzer V1.04", "G-Wiz FlightViewer V2.21", and "RDAS V3.5". Other software may be acceptable; check with the contest Judge(s) BEFORE your flight.

You are responsible for providing appropriate connecting hardware and software. Verify your altimeter's connectivity and software configuration on the Judge's computer BEFORE your flight.

You must stay within the waiver and the rocket must stay together going up; No Max-Q disassemblies.

2,000' challenge winner is the entrant closest to 2,000 feet (above or below). 1 mile challenge winner is closest to 5,280 feet. Ties will be broken by pre-flight altitude prediction.

Personal Altitude Target winner is the entrant with the smallest absolute difference between the actual flight altitude and their prediction at time of contest entry.

You must use an altimeter that reports flight altitude audibly. Only the altitude reported by the "beeps" will be accepted. Downloaded barometric or accelerometer data cannot be used for the altitude contests.
