Our launches are not Tripoli Rocketry Association, (TRA) or National Association of Rocketry, (NAR) sponsored.    However, you must hold the required high powered rocket certification from TRA or NAR to use and fly rockets using H or higher impulse motors. You must show your TRA or NAR Membership Card at the Registration Table for verification of your current membership and certification level.



All flyers and vendors attending an MDRA launch:
  • Must obtain and/or use rocket motors in compliance with Federal, State and Municipal laws, codes, rules and regulations.
  • Shall be solely responsible for compliance with all Federal, State and Municipal laws, codes, rules and regulations.
  • Will indemnify and hold harmless the Maryland Delaware Rocketry Association, Inc and it's officers from and against any loss, expense, damage or injury caused or occasioned directly or indirectly by their failure to comply with the provisions of the said laws, codes, ordinances, rules, regulations and requirements.

To fly at our launches you MUST join Maryland Delaware Rocketry Assoc. to be covered under Maryland Delaware Rocketry Assoc. Insurance. Membership fee is $25.00 for the year (January through December).





Launch Site Info:
  • Our waiver is for 16,000' MSL, 15,900' AGL.
  • The waiver will run from 9am to 6pm Saturday and Sunday.
  • Help with setup and/or take down on is appreciated.
  • Launch Fees for both days are $10 for MDRA members.
  • Spectators may watch for free.
  • Our Launch System can handle up to 24 pads. So bring one if you have one.


 

From the West
Take Route 404 into Delaware. Continue on 404 through Bridgeville. Cross Route 13. In about 3 miles, take a left at the flashing light at Coverdale Crossroads. Bear left at the fork in the road. The entrance to the field is about 1/2 mile on the left.

From the North
Take Route 13 south. 12 miles past Harrington, come to Bridgeville. Turn left onto Route 18/404. There is a McDonalds at the 18/404 intersection. See above.
